About Caroline

I am a certified technical editor and technical writer, knitting designer and consultant. I help shop owners, designers, and knitters clarify their patterns, perfect their stitches, and master the technical details that make great knitting.

Thanks to my rare combination of over 20 years of experience in technical writing as an electrical engineer (also as a draftsperson and electrical technician) and my passion for knitting, I understand both precision and creativity.

Knitting entered my life during my three-year stay (2009) in the United Arab Emirates. My work as an electrical engineer took me there for the construction of an aluminum manufacturing plant. My last project (2017-18) was at a gold mine site in Burkina Faso, as project manager for a 52-hectare solar farm.

Since then, I have been a technical knitting editor and an avid traveler whose feet have touched the ground of 23 countries. Meeting designers, fiber processors, shop owners, and above all connecting with people. In 2024, I took a trip around the world that took me to Edinburgh, Oslo, Stockholm, Tokyo, among other places! Since my first stitch, I have accumulated projects (from mittens to cardigans, including shawls and hats), and visits to shops, festivals, and retreats. I have taken many courses with fiber industry professionals (including Carol Ibbetson, Kate Atherley, Marie Greene, Tanis Gray). I collaborate [and have collaborated] with artisan dyers (including Jocelyn Viernes from Dubai Knits, Céline Cléroux from Cactus Yarn Studio, Yoriko Oki) to develop patterns that accompany kits.

At times, I develop my own knitting patterns and online courses. Since 2018, I have set up private support for knitters to accompany them in their knitting projects. I have conducted knitting workshops in shops, libraries, and at the P'tite Laine festival (Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec, Canada). Where last year, October 2025, I gave my first conference on the theme of travel and inspiration.

In 2024, I developed and built my website to connect with designers globally. Since then, I have clients and collaborations in Canada, United States, France, United Kingdom.
